Ser-GHRP-2

What is in Ser-GHRP-2?

Ser-GHRP-2 is a pre-mixed vial of sermorelin, a GHRH analogue, and GHRP-2, a ghrelin receptor agonist. No clinical trial has studied the blend.

Sermorelin is GRF(1-29)NH2, the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (Walker, 2006). GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide that binds the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, the receptor ghrelin activates (Laferrère et al., 2005). The pairing rests on that split: a 1990 study in 18 healthy men found that GHRP-6, of which GHRP-2 is an analogue, and GHRH released growth hormone synergistically (Bowers et al., 1990).

Each component has human data on its own. Sermorelin reached FDA approval, and GHRP-2 has short endocrine studies showing rises in growth hormone, prolactin, ACTH and cortisol (Arvat et al., 1997). As of October 2026, ClinicalTrials.gov lists no registered trial of sermorelin combined with GHRP-2, so any statement about the blend’s effects is extrapolation from separate studies.

Is Ser-GHRP-2 legal or approved?

No FDA-approved product combines sermorelin and GHRP-2, and WADA’s 2026 Prohibited List bans both components at all times under section S2.2.4.

The FDA first approved sermorelin acetate in December 1990 as Geref (EMD Serono), which was discontinued in 2008; in 2013 the FDA determined it was not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons (Federal Register). GHRP-2 has no FDA approval. Japan approved it in 2004 only as a diagnostic agent (KEGG), and the FDA placed it in 503B compounding category 2 in 2023 (FDA). WADA names sermorelin and GHRP-2 in its S2 class (WADA).

A blend is two identity questions in one vial. A certificate that reports a single purity number does not show whether both peptides are present or in what ratio. A useful result identifies sermorelin and GHRP-2 separately and gives a measured amount for each against the label claim.

Check a batch’s published result before trusting its label. Recent certificates are on our latest tests page, and Janoshik’s public results database lets you look up a specific test. No results are published for Ser-GHRP-2 in our index yet. When the first published result arrives, a vendor leaderboard appears above.
