How We Score

Every score on PeptideCensus is computed from publicly published third-party lab results. This page explains exactly how — because a score you can’t audit is just an opinion.

What goes into a score

• Purity accuracy — how tested purity compares to the vendor’s label claim, across every published batch we track.
• Label / dosage accuracy — whether the vial contains the milligrams the label says.
• Testing transparency — how consistently the vendor publishes batch results, and how fresh they are.
• Community sentiment — sampled from public discussion threads, quoted and linked, never fabricated.

What a score is not

PeptideCensus does not operate a laboratory and does not conduct testing. Every data point is aggregated from publicly published third-party lab reports and links to its original source. A score reflects the published record — not our lab work, because we do none.

Scores are not for sale

Every vendor with public lab data gets listed and scored, free, whether they like it or not. Money buys clearly labeled sponsored visibility, never scores, verdicts, or rank position. If you buy through a link or code on this site we may earn a commission. This never affects scores, verdicts, or rank position.

Batch outcomes

Each tracked batch is marked PASS (tested within label claims), UNDER LABEL (identity confirmed but quantity or purity below claim), or FAIL (identity or purity failure). One result never makes a verdict ; sample size is shown next to every score.

Common questions

Can vendors pay to improve their score?

No. Money buys clearly labeled sponsored visibility only. Scores, verdicts, and rank positions are computed from published lab results and are not for sale, ever.

How often are scores updated?

The index syncs daily against published source data. Each vendor profile shows the date of its most recent counted test.

What do PASS, UNDER LABEL, and FAIL mean?

PASS: the batch tested within its label claims. UNDER LABEL: identity confirmed but quantity or purity fell below claim. FAIL: an identity or purity failure.
