Ser-GHRP-6 is a pre-mixed vial of sermorelin, a GHRH analogue, and GHRP-6, a ghrelin receptor agonist. No clinical trial has studied the blend.
Sermorelin is GRF(1-29)NH2, the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone (Walker, 2006). GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide first described in 1984 (Bowers et al.) that acts on the ghrelin receptor (Zheng et al., 2008). The two act on different receptors, and a 1990 study in 18 healthy men found GHRP-6 and GHRH released growth hormone synergistically (Bowers et al., 1990).
That 1990 study used single intravenous doses in a clinical research setting. It did not test a pre-mixed vial, and as of October 2026 ClinicalTrials.gov lists no registered trial of sermorelin combined with GHRP-6. GHRP-6 also stimulated eating when injected into the brains of rats (Locke et al., 1995), an effect the blend inherits on paper but that has not been measured for the combination.
No FDA-approved product combines sermorelin and GHRP-6, and WADA’s 2026 Prohibited List bans both components at all times under section S2.2.4.
The FDA first approved sermorelin acetate in December 1990 as Geref (EMD Serono), which was discontinued in 2008; in 2013 the FDA determined it was not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons (Federal Register). GHRP-6 has no FDA approval, and the FDA added it to 503B compounding category 2 in September 2023 over immunogenicity concerns (FDA). WADA names both sermorelin and GHRP-6 in its S2 class (WADA).
A blend is two identity questions in one vial. Hunger after use says nothing about whether sermorelin is present, or in what amount. A useful certificate identifies sermorelin and GHRP-6 separately by mass and reports a measured quantity of each against the label, rather than one purity figure for the whole vial.
